Is the HEMI tick a serious problem?
Yes — the MDS lifter failure that causes HEMI tick is progressive and does not resolve on its own. Left unaddressed, collapsed lifters will score the camshaft lobes and can cause misfires that damage catalytic converters. Replacement at the first sign of tick prevents cascading damage to other components.
Do your HEMI engines come with MDS?
Our HEMI engines are OEM originals and include the factory MDS system. Many customers choose to have their installer add an MDS delete kit during the swap, which prevents the lifter failure pattern from recurring on the replacement engine.
Can I get a 6.7L Cummins diesel engine?
